The Wild Cats of the Copco league
nosed out tho Hob Cats in a wild bat
tle at the Jackon stret ball grounds
Monday night. It was anybody's
game up until tho last of the ninth
when tho Wild Cats came to bat. A
batting rall' was started, the bases
were filled and the net result of three
runs won the game, tho final score
being 12 to 11. A notable feature of
the game was the "pinch hitting" of
Perry Crawford and the wcllnlgh
perfect playing of both sides, neither
one of which was credited with'more
than 16 or 23 errors. This victory en
abled tho Wild Cats to retain first
place which they now havo a firm hold
with a percentage of 750 points. The
next league game will be held Thurs
day night, when the Tom Cats will tan
gle with the Alley Cats at the Jackson
school field, and spectators are wel
