Crater Lake Temple band (D. O. K.
K.) plays in the eastern cities next
fall. Nut only will it bo a good band
concert in every instance, which is al
ways interesting to people, but they
will ay, these people are

The very fact that the majority of
people picture tho far westas a wild
Indian country, will draw nn Imme
diate contrawt when they hear a well
trained band that has come up out
of that tftnd of tall timbers. The ap
pearances of the band will bo a news
item, so rcognized by eastern papers,
and there will be many inches of val
uable display space-dovoted to tho
story of this band that is trying to
popularize Crater Lako National
park. Thore is even something
alluring about the name 'Crater
Lake Temple band.
The big problem right now, how
ever is to advertise this trip to tho
local people so that the band can
make tho trip. If the band don't go
the community don't get tho adver
tising. If the community don't sup
port tho band the band stays at home.
That's the reason that you will note
an advertisement in this Issue calling
attention to the concert and dance
which will be held in the Medford
Armory this coming Wednesday even
ing, April 19th. The tickets for
couples are on sale at the chamber. of
commerce and are in the hands of
several interested cltlzotis. Theso
tickets aro more than a card of ad
mission to a pleasant social and musi
cal affair: they are contributions to
I the major publicity effort of the, com
Imunlty for 1125; and as such there
should bo no lhriit to the number of
tickets purchased by each Individual.
Tho band members have assessed
themselves to the limit of their finan
cial ability and their time is, of course
donated, timer communities are con
tributing, and tho publicity will bo
woven around Crater Lako National
park as the supremo attraction of the
west, with gateways leading in and
out from every direction.

tored to Union Creek Sunday, are Dan
Cole, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Crose and
N. C. Chancy and family. They re

state that they were able to go about

Mr. Bayllss, an agent of tho Frank

Medford last summer, is in the city
making arrangements for the appear
ance of the company in thiH city again,
