A tgtr aU e Worlds Beet tfood Medietas The Business and Professional Women's club of Medford, will be hostess at their next regular meeting on Wednesday, February 20th to Mrs. Sadie Orr Dunbar, president of the State Federation of Women's Clubs. She will meet with the club at a din ner Riven In her honor at the Hotel Medford on that, evening and later will talk to them on the subject of club purposes and ideals. ' - Mrs. Dunbar is an experienced club woman of charming personality and Is a fluent and Interesting speaker, and the club considers Itself very for tunate to have this opportunity to show her their hospitality at this time. Notices have been sent out to tho members of the club urging them -to be present at the dinner. Prospective members of the club are also invited to attend on that evening. An oppor tunity will be given at that time to pay dues and sign the constitution. Ballots have been prepared by Miss Steiner, the acting secretary, and everything Is in readiness for the elec tion of officers on that evening. Tho caso of Nye Matthews,, 16 year old Kagle Point boy, charged with being drunk on the streets of Eagle Point on the afternoon of Septomber lGth last, and whoso trial this week resulted in a hung jury aftor 19 hours deliberation, was dismissed In circuit court this morning, upon motion of tho district attorney, on the grounds of lack of evidence. Tho count stood eleven to one for acquittal throughout. Tho case of Jack Mayhem, also ol Eagle Point, charged with the same offense In the same Incident was also dismiFsod for tho same reason lack of sufficient evidence. Tho case of F. R. Kennedy, charged with possession of liquor, and break ing a bottlo on the - sidewalk, . was quashed on account of a faulty indict ment, but a new one has been drawn up.
