Last month'b rainfall was but .01 of an Inch, of wtish the greatest amount to fall In any 24 hours was .22 on the 29th. How ever, there was a snowfall for the month of 2 Inches, of which .20 of an Inch was on the ground the 15th. January was a cloudy month with only four clear days. Twenty- four days were cloudy and three partly cloudy. There were seven foggy days. The warmest day of the month was G8 degrees on the 31st, and the coldest day was the 2nd, witli a temperature of 14 degrees shove. The mean max imum was 45.87, the mean minimum was 29.80, the mean was 37.88 and the greatest daily rango 33. The daily record was in part as follows: Date. Mln. Spray for Peach Leaf Curl The early part of February is the best time to spray for peach leaf curl and in case weather conditions permit peach growers are urged to make this application as soon as possible. Where there Is no scale present In peach orchards, Bordeaux Mixture 5-5-50 should he used. Where scale has been found in orchards lime aul phur dormant strength may bo used.
