According to Dr. Sweeney the company will engage in the manufac ture of a general line of clay products, BUch as building brick and tile, fire jtirick, porcelain ware, crockery ware. mixing bowls, Insulators, bathroom tile and fixtures, etc. 'The clays of southern Oregon arc particularly adapted to the manufac ture of high grude clay products," said Dr. Bweenoy today. "Statistics show that during the past year a total Off $264,700,000 of clay products were purchased In the United States. Only $2,064,000, or less than one-tenth of this amount were manufactured west of tho Mississippi river. "Freight on clay products from Red Wing, Minn., Columbus, Ohio, or Trenton, N. Considerable difficulty was experi enced by the officers of the Med ford Chamber of Commerce in getting the technical information which the gov ernment required. Now that this has been secured and is being published by tho government, this field has an established standing among those who travol by airplane.
