ing with a burglar early this morning.
W. D. Howard, who resides In the
Leland home on, South Park street,
bears the marks where he wns struck
by a steel bur by the marauder. Mr.
Howard was awakened by a noise in
the house and started out to investi
gate Just as he opened the bedroom
door, he was struck over the head.
He fired three shots at the burglar.
