Farm L-onn Commissioner Copper summar ized conditions In various land bank districts today as follows: Arizona, California, Nevada and Utah Conditions as a whole aro hot no good as last year. The fruit men of California aro making no profit and hiph freight rates are a heavy tax on agriculture. Tho cattle ranchmen of Arizona are still in a bad condition but the dairymen and poultry raJsers have had a good year: Sugar beet growers have had a good crop with prospects -of a fair price. Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and "Wash ington Agricultural conditions 1 are better than last year. The wheat har vest was the largest in tho history of the northwest and tho production of livestock and fruit has set a record. Dairying, and poultry raising are on the increase. Tho cost of transporta tion, however.consumed a largo por tion of tho 'farmer's profit. ' The apple crop in Oregon and Idaho was large, but the prices are uncertain and tho market unsatisfactory.
