Richard P. Hobson, horo of the Spanish-American
war and crusader for
prohibition, with his brother. Major J.
M. Hobson, Is missing In the moun
tains back of Tujuns canyon. Tho
brothers entered the hills last night In
Rearch of Captain Hobson's son and a
neighbor boy, who at that time had
failed to return from a hike. The boys
cume home safely later. .
Mrs. Hobson told the Associated
Press today that sho had every hope
that her husband would come out of
his predicament safely, though she
was never the less anxious over his
whereabouts, owing to the fact thut
the territory into which he had gone
was on the verge of the area swept
by a brush fire last night and had suf

EVERETT, Wash., Dec. 11. The
Everett theater was virtually de
stroyed by fire this morning, only tho
wallB being left, with a loss of about
1100,000, covered by insurance. Tho
blaze started in the basement beneath
ths scenery loft and soon spread to
the loft itself. The building owned by
the Everett Improvement company,
was under lease to the Star Amuse
ment company who plan at once to
build a new theatre on the same site.
It has been used for several years as
a motion picture houso.
