NEW VORK, Dec; 7 Tho dally av erage gross crudo oil production of tho United States decreased 115,250 bar rels fori the week ending December first, totaling 2,083,000 barrels, ac cording to tho weekly summary of the American Petroleum Institute. A de crease of 103,000 barrels In the dal'y average production of the Powell field In Texas accounts for substantially all of tho decrease of 115,250 barrels. The dally average production cast of the Rocky -mountains was 1,133,650 bar rels, a decrease of 103,300 barrel. California . production was 746.350 barrels, a decrease of 11,950. Dally average Imports of petroleum at principal ports were 217,143 bar rels, compared with 249,286 for tho previous week. Dally average receipts of California oil at Atlantic and gluf ports were 165,857 barrels compared with 233,571 for the previous weok. Thoro wore no changes reported In crude oil prices for the major dis tricts. California crudo ranges from 60 to 76 cents a barrel, depending upon tho gravity of tho oil. HavinK perfected Its organization and heard Prealdent Cootldge's annual message the new congress today as Its first act took official notice of tho passing of President Harding. Both senate and house adjourned until Monday out of respect for his memory. The senate passed without discus sion two bills presented by Senator Willis of Ohio, giving Mr.. Lewis, builder of the "Ark of tho Living God, -which sank during its launching here three years ago, has left for San KranclBco to purchase the old navy collier Brutus, which he says will be used as tho nucleus of a fleet to carry all members of the black race in Amorlca back to Africa. The HrutUH, ho explained beforo leaving for tho north, will sail from this port next February for Monrovia, on the went coast of-Afrlca, with 2000 tons of freight and 200 Afro-American pas sengers.
