SALEM, Nov. 15. Tho assessed
valuation for Oregon, not Including
public utilities, shows a gain of ap
proximately $15,000,000 over the val
uation for 1922, according to roportn
filed with Sari Fisher, state tax com
missioner, by tho county assessors of
Oregon's 26 counties. , The reports for
23 of the 36 counties i,n the stato show
gains in valuations, whllo the 13
counties show docreases. In several
Instances, in both cases the differ
ences being but a few thousand dol
lars. The greatest Increase In valuations
Is shown in Tillamook, with a gain of
approximately $5,700,000 over last
year's figures. Multnomah county
shown a healthy gain of nearly $5,
000.000 over the valuations of 1!22.
Tho total valuation for the state, op
which the taxes for 1023 will bo based
amounts to $000,444,131.13, ns com
pared to $88t,.792,O06.S4 for 1922. The
