The important point is to have such a conference held, for regard less of the technical obstacles, nothing can prevent such a conference from clearing the muddled and hostile atmosphere, with which the question of reparations is surrounded. What the world wants, what all fair-minded people want, is light. There is a xtrong disposition in this country, to regard all statements from the countries particularly interested, as mere propaganda. What America wants are the facts. Regardless of the official status of the proposed conference, there fore, whether its findings are merely advisory or mandatory, really makes little practical difference, for out of the gathering, it is almost certain, the main facts will eventually ainergo. A sea voyage temporarily leaves the pollen far behind, or a great hikes voyage, or a sojourn in a mountain resort at considerable altitude, or the victim may just -pray hard for a long heavy rain, which washes the pollen out of the air and brings relief for days, If ono can't afford to travel or live away from home and can't persuade tho rain to come, my best bet would be the use of warm boric acid solu tion (teaspoonful to pint of boiled water) as a nasal spray and a gargle three or four times daily and a good doso of calcium chloride or calcium lactate Internally three times a day after meals throughout the season. A good dose is half a teaspoonful of either the chloride or the lactate, well dissolved in a glassful of water. If this does not disturb the stomach, it often proves a valuable relief. Peoplo who really suffer seasonal hay fever ought, to bo tested with pol len extracts to determine what Is re sponsible and then Immunized against tho responsible, pollen 'before the sea son arrives.
