baffling illness which has run her
fever up to 111 degrees or more, Miss
Evelyn Lyons, 30; sat up today in
her chair, still protesting against her
confinement and still maintaining tho
remarkablo thermometer reading.
"I think I have tho whole world
beat on temperature," tho girl told
newspapermen, "but I am getting
more or less tired of having the ther
mometers to 'cat' all the time. . I am
hungry and want something to eat."
According to Dr. lftirry llcfnot, the
attending physician, tho girl spent a
fairly restful night although, her
strenuous protestations against con
finement weakon her. Two United
States tested thermometers from the
local weather bureau which run up
to 120 dogrces will bo used today to

ran nationalist, Thomas O'Connor,

been represented by a conservative

member for Kdgo Hill, who retired

Lieutenant Colonel O. F. Stanley, both
members of tho government, were
defeated.
Mr. Hayes, the new member, is a
former London policeman.
