kets. The rush of shippers to get their
stored apples to market was compared
In some quarters to the tempestuous

of apples to market during the week,
the United States bureau of agricul
tural economics said today, more than
any time since the middle of January.

that total, 17 per cent more than the
preceding, week and 70 per cent over

due to a gamblers market assisted by
the department of commerce."

mulcted out of millions of dollars,"
