Deceased lived for 71 years in the Slsklyous, fifty of them In the hills, and was a picturesque soul. Ho was elected county supervisor when a young man, and was reputed to have considerable money buried near his cabin. Ho was well known to many pioneer residents of this lty and Jacksonville.
