pany U. Louhslana National Guard of
.Monroe, which moved out of hero for
Morehouso' parish yesterday, was In
camp at Mer Rogua at daybreak to
day and will remain there for several
days, according to a message receiv
ed here from Captain W. W. Cooper,
tho commander.
Captain Cooper said he was un
prepared to give the purpose for
which the soldiers were sent to Mer
Rogue and had no Information other
than orders to go Into camp at Mer
Rogue.
Reports 'were current throughout
Moorebouso parish today that the
bodies of Watt Daniels and Thomas
Richards bad been located either In
Cooper or LaPourcbo lake, weighted
down with a wagon whoel said to
have been taken from a farmer's ve
hiclo by the band of masked men
who kidnapped five Mer Rogue citi
zens on August 24.

ho was acquitted, but they were with
drawn again by direction of Mr, Hays,
who had recently been made chief
arbiter tf the allied motion picture
Industries. Arbucklc's emit met with
tho Famous Dayers-Lasky corpora
tion was cancelled during tho trials.
Arbucklo married Miss Mlnta Dur
fee, a vaudeville actress. They were
separated at tho tlmo of tile Happo
tragedy, but Miss Durfoo returned
to her husband while ho was In Jail
and stood by 111 in during the trials.
