Youth triumphed ov6r age, and today Kd (Strangler) Lewis ot Sun .Iobo, Calif., champion, retained his laurels, having defeated Stanislaus Zbyszko, former cham pion, in a match for the heavyweight wrestling championship of the world hore last night. The champion won the second and third falls after los ing the first. - Kbqszko, 43 years old, a nutive of Poland, and prominent mat man for many years past, . attempted to re gain the title which Lewis won from him at Wichita, Kas., lust year, but instead the chumpion Won permunent possession of a diamond studded belt presented by Tex- Ilickard of Now York. Lewis has been victorious in three contests in which the emblem of wrestling supremacy has been at stake. i The challenger found an opening and obtained the first fall by turn ing Lewis over his shoulders and pinning htm to the canvas. The chumpinn's painful headlock laid Bzyszko low for the second full. The challenger previously had suf fered a dislocation of the right shoul der as a result. of several toe holds applied by Lewis. Lewis won the third and decisive fall with un arm lock around the Injured shoulder of bis opponent. .. The men wrestled before the larg est crowd that has ever witnessed a sporting event at the Coliseum, ap ptoximately 12,000 persons attend ing. Receipts were around the $16, 000 mark.. Lewis received $7,500 and Zzyszko's share was $2500. - Gibbons vs. Mlhko Tonight ST. PAUL, Dec. 15. Old rivals, Tommy Gibbons and Billy Miske, St. Paul heavyweights, are scheduled to box ten rounds to a judge's decision here tonight. Victory for Gibbons by a knockout, is predicted by his man ager, Eddie Kane. "I'll admit that Gibbons Is the bet ter boxer, but I am a better fighter," was Miske's rejoinder to Kane's pre diction.
