MISSIONARY RELEASED BY CHINKS PEKING, Dec. ll (By Associated Press). -Anton Lundeen,- of Newman Grove, Neb., a missionary kidnaped by bandits in Honan. province on October 13 last, has been released, It was an nounced here today:' .. . A fully audited account of tho money raised by this campaign will bo submitted to the public as soon 'is ull outstand ing pledges have been received and the accounts liavo pushed through tho hands of the auditor, Mr. K. M. Wilson.. Thero are contributions to the fi nancial campaign yet to be turned in from outlying districts who are con tributing to the county program of work which is the program of the Red Cross for though headquarters are In .Medford, the work done touches homes and families and problems throughout all parts of Jackson county. ' Almost $4000 has been received through tho work of the flnunclul cnmpalgn which with the funds which will bo earned by the activities of tho thrift shop will complete the required budget of 10000 for the year's work. This is the minimum amount with which the work can be efficiently operated. A vote of thanks was extended by tho executive committee' to Mr. B Harder for his effective and stimu lating leadership ,ln carrying through the financial campaign in which he acted as chairman of the financial committee. This involved much work added to Mr. Harder's arduous labors and with tho splendid co-operation, which ho obtained spelled success for tho drive. ; '. .,v . - . Immediately after tho meeting suf ficient funds from the amount raised wore allocated to .take. care'-.. of .the back Indebtedness to the merchants of Medford for past services render ed generously by -them to the work of the Red Cross. Tho Red Cross la glad to announce thut this clears away back debts and that current expenses will be promptly met and appreciation is accorded to the con sideration of tho merchants.' the Sac red Heart Hospital and other, affen ries to whom money has been owing for services rendered previous to the present reorganization of the work. Tho reports of the executive secre tary and of the manager of the thrift shop were presented at' the meeting and are given in full and indicate the great volume of work that has passod through tho Rod Cross ofices during the past month. , .
