An Item In yesterday's Oregonian stated that Hillsboro, Ore., high school laid claim to the state championship. At the first of the season Hillsboro, Ore., defeated Forest Grove 6-0, and at that time the Forest Grove team which has only two lettermen in Its lineup was inexperienced. On Thanksgiving Day Medford defeated the same team 41-2. It would seem that the only- three teams in the state with a right ful claim to the championship are Cor vallis, Astoria and Medford and local fans are strongly in favor of seeing which of the three can successfully back Its claim of supremacy. .
