school at Anaheim, Calif.
Mrs. Ralph Cowgill returned Monday
from Portland with a baby daughter.

Charles Peldenheimer arrived Thurs
day to oversee the harvesting of the
large near crop at his orchards here.
Mrs. J. W. Birkhotz entertained at
dinner on Monday evening in honor of
Miss Martena Neal. in, the evening the
guests enjoyed music and dancing, and
"listened-in" on the radio.
Word has been received from Mrs.
W. B. Harris, who left some time ago
for a trip through California, that she
spent a most enjoyable day in San
Francisco, visiting Golden Gate park,
before going on to Long lleach where
she will remain for some time.
The J. W. Elden family left Friday
morning for a week camping trip to
Dead Indian Soda Springs.
Mrs. Helen Ilrophy and the Misses
Martena Neat, Rose Jones and Leah
Parker motored to Grants Pass on
Tuesday evening and called on friends.
Belmont Pankey is buying melons in
this vicinity and hauling them to
Huckleberry Mountain -to supply the
berry pickers there. . He states that
the berries are very plentiful and are
selling at a dollar and a quarter in the
patch.

The family of Frank Holdridge and
others will leave for an outing the last
of this week, from Talent. They ex
pect to be out a couple of weeks.
Mrs. Alice WUlets left Talent last
week for her home in Klamath Falls,

mother, Mrs. Catherine Alford. Mrs.
Alford went ont to Klamath Palls to
visit Mrs. WiUcts but became home
