CBARDWULL, Secretary' In competition fur standard school pictures otiered as prizes by the county fair board, a good percentage of the schools of Jackson county are ready to make exhibition of work accomplished during the last school year. According to County School Super intendent Kusanne Homes Carter, the own schools will be represented, in cluding high schools and many of the rural schools will also exhibit. The county educational board at its business meeting went on record us favoring definite effort toward a worthy educational exhibit for .iack son county, and urged that Medford and Ashland schools join in this ef fort particularly for another year. In making exhibits the schools will contest in four divisions as follows: Division 1 Grade schools having but one teacher. Division 2 Grade schools having two teachers only. Division 3 Grade schools having three or more teachers. Division 4 High schools, or grades 9, 10, 11 and 12. Further information regarding the grading of exhibits and prizes to he distributed may be obtained from the Jackson county fnlr premium list, which may be had free from tho sec rotary of tho fair board chamber of commerce building, Medford. Pacific Summer school at Sierra Chautauqua, near Fresno, Cai. The school term of two weeks was at tended by a hundred secretaries from California, Nevada, Arizona and other points In the south. This is one of eight similar schools conducted each summer in different parts of the Unit ed States for the training of secretaries in the work of the Young Men's Chris tian association.
