TEN COMMANDMENTS
FAITH. SAY EVANGELIST
"Jesus Christ uplndd the Ten Com
mandments spoken on Mt. Sinul, and
throughout His teachings while on
earth indicated that they constituted
the foundation of God's government
and would' endure so long as divine
government endures," declared Evan
gelist T. L. Tbeumler in his lecture on
"The Law of God Still Binding on Mon
klnd," at the tent at Eighth and Ivy
streets, last night.
"Centuries before Christ came the
Psalmist prophesied that the Mesah
would delight to do the will of God,,
and that He would have the law within
His heart. Ps. 40:7,8. Christ not only
magnified- the law and made It honor
able, as was prophesied in Isaiah
42:21, but at the very. beginning of His
ministry taught that the command
ments not only covered the outward
acts, but extended to the thought or
the heart. Matt. 5:21, 22, 27, 28,
"Think not that 1 am come to destroy
the law," was one of His first public
utterances; and in the same discourse
He declared that whosoever "shall
break one of these least command
ments, and shall teach men so, the
same shall be called least in the king
dom of heaven." Matt. 6:1!),
