DENTON. Hill Allen of Ashland was a Medford visitor yesterday having come down to enjoy several sets of 'tennis with mem bers of the West Side Tennis club. CLUB PICNIC AT ASHLAND, JULY 22 The hoys and girls clubs of the county will have their annual picnic in Ashland park next Saturday. The club members from the remot est parts of the county .ire urged to get down for the day and parents are asked to cooperate by giving them the day off from work, bringing or sending them down for one good day in the cool of the park. It is hoped that local leaders and parents will assist in getting trans portation for every club member of the county. All members In all projects ex cept canning are urged to get In at least two of their reports before Saturday. A couple of short talks and possi bly a model meeting will be staged, the rest of the time being taken up with contests, games, swimming, eat ing, etc. The management of the Natato- rium lias very kindly made a club rate of 25c to club members for swimming in the tank and so an op portunity will he had for all to en gage in this pleasant pastime. FUNERAL SERVICES MRS FIELDER SET The funeral service of Miss Julia Fielder will be held at the Perl Fu neral Home tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. The body arrived last even ing from Winton, California, the home of Miss Fielder's sister, Mrs. Adsit. Miss Fielder was for a num ber of years a prominent teacher In the public schools of Medford. She has many devoted friends who will l)e greatly bereaved by the news of her death. The body will lie in state tomorrow morning from nine to ton. Inter ment will be in Jacksonville ceme tery. . STILL NO ACTIVITY Neither the injunction against the special recall election July 29, nor the petitions for the nomination of I). M. Lowe to make the race against Sher iff Charles K. Terrill were filed with the county clerk today up to two o'clock. Attorneys on the injunction proposition said they had been de layed by the addition of new data. It is probable that the injunction will he carried to the supreme court of the state for final adjudlcation." It Is highly probable that the noml- I.
