C. H. Klley and Charles Butt were
found guilty of murder in the first de
gree tor the shooting of Ray Light,
during a holdup of the Discovery Uay
Logging company March 25. The
Jury, reporting at 1:20 this morning,
after deliberating 7 hours, recom
mending life Imprisonment. Light, a
former service man, was playing
card3 with other employes of tho lum
ber camp-when two highwaymen ac
costed thorn. The fatal shooting of
Light followed.

CHICAGO, June 23. Heat and
drought pointing toward HkelOiood of
shrinkage In tho crop yield tended to
lift wheat prices today In the first
