Prospect yesterday and breukfusted
with Jim Grieve after which they went
6 miles above Prospect where thev
encountered snow enough to balk
them. The car became stuck in a drift

appeared hopeless but finally Mr.
Smith hit upon the expedient of oix-n-tng
his cut-out and allowing the engine
to race. The hot eihamtt gases melfd
the snow and all was well. Jim has
decided to adopt this plan of combat

has ordered an exhaust plp long
enough to encircle the whole contrap
