munity hall was the scene of an Inter-

up of boys and girls of school age. At
the formal opening of the ball It
seemed impossible to Include all the
children. Including high school stu
dents who helped to construct the
building, and the event on Tuesday
evening waa in fulfillment of a pro
mine that they should have a social

generous picnic supper, and entertain
ment was rendered by the men's quar
tet, a speech by Mr. Hulet, the Presby
terian Sunday school missionary, and
a real Indian story was told by Mr.

crew of men for the loading of logs at
the railroad aiding, the same to be
shipped to Medford. It is stated that
over a million feet are to be loaded at
this point this season.
The civic Improvement club met

Eleven of our children have earned
their knight bannerette or gold pins,
in their health crusade work. All of
the pupils have their first pin and
several others are working for the
gold pins.

Harold Dallas, have cop pie ted their
curiis practice work.
Miss Kubll, who has taught here
for the last year has accepted a post
Hon In the Applegate school for next
year. She says she has enjoyed her
year here, but that she Is taking the
school at Applegate because it is her
home.
