Collins at the Sacred Heart hospital :
reached this neighborhood and al-i
though it was known for some time!
that she was In a critical condition !
the news of her passing cast a gloom '
over our entire community.
Little Mary, as she was fondly
called among her friends, cams to
this neighborhood with her parents
and brothers and sisters when but six
yearn of age, from Vancouver, Wash.
Since that time she .had grown to
womanhood among us and with her
bright and happy smile, cheerful dis
position and winsome ways had won
a'place in the hearts of all her neigh
bors, both young and old and count
less others throughout the valley
with whom she had chanced to meet.
During the past few years she hadj
played the part of mother to her I
brother and little sisters while acting
as housekeeper for her father.
A long procession of sorrowing
friends followed the remains to the
Jacksonville cemetery, where she was
laid to rest on December 29th, In a
grave bedecked with beautiful flow
era, besides her mother who had pro
ceeded her six years before.
To the relatives left to mourn the
neighborhood offers its deepest aym-
pathy and shares with them in their!
grief.
