Mrs. Miles told of the early days in southern Ore gon and the pioneers in Jackson coun- ty. The mothers of several of the 'members were present as guests, as : were also Mrs. Wagner, Mrs. Mary Dunn and Mrs. A. I.. Russell of Ash. land. These women were pioneers in the Rogue River valley. Mrs. Dunn and Mrs. Russell, with their sister, being the first young girls In this part of the state. Tbey came, with their parents and brothers, to southern Oregon in !
