The everyday life of manv housewives is a contin'unl struggle with weakness and pain. There is nothing more wear ing than the ceaseless round of house hold duties and they become doubly hard whon some femals'trouhle makes every bono and muscle ache, and nerves all on edge. If vou are one of these women do not suffer for four or five years as Mrs. Siefert did, but profit by her experience and be restored to health by l.ydia L. PinkhanVs Vegetable Compound. all Probably the most unique parade ever seen in the valley was put ou by the "D. O. K. K.'s of Medford, la:U Saturday nt 2 p. m. The pnrnde was led by tbe splendid local band and by the officers of the loenl temple in their magnificent costumes. Then followe 1 the Brigand team In full regalia. marching with tnnt precision and snap that indicated long practice and train ing. One of the distinctive features of the affair was the Pythian Sisters in bright new uniforms. The team from the Indies branch was evidently select ed because of thc-lr beauty and style and they made a real hit. The side show features of the parade rivaled the fun features of a highly paid cir cus. Many of tho prominent business and professional men of .Medford were In line and hundreds of out of town peo ple were on the streets. Tlui kangaroo court held in the tem ple caused, much merriment after the parade and in the evening the core nionlnl was put on with all the elab orateness of ' the Dramatic Order of the rank. Probably never, before has the local team been In such flno fettle. Everything moved like clock-work and tho long pageant was put on without a hitch. Many of the visitors who havo seen the Work In Portland and largo cities say that tho work of the Med ford branch was the best they had ever seen. The banquot in charge of tho Pyth ian Sisters was served at midnight and was of the kind that will bo long remembered by those who had the good fortune to partake of it. After tho banquet all returned to the hall where tho Famous Eight Order of Business kept candidates and Dokles in ' merriment until tho weo Binall hours of the morning. Altogether It was something that tho local lodge may well be proud of and was also a credit to the town and to the offlcora and workers whoso painstaking attention made it possible.
