A coincidence of more than ordi
nary interest occurred lu Madras last
Sunday night. Elijah Straub, of Med
ford, in company with his son-in-law,
Clarence Sweeney of Kennewlck,
Washington, arrived in Madras that
evening with a bunch of horses which
they were taking from Medford to
Kennewick, and pitched camp in the
western edge of , town. After It be
came dark they were attracted by the
light In the belfry of the Church of
Christ and decided to go there and
attend services. . They were greatly
surprised, as they walked Into tho
church, to find Rev. Walter L. Straub,
the evangelist, doing the preaching.
He is a nephew of Elijah Struuh, who
was a twin brother of tho preachers
father. The only other time they had
met in fourteen years was at the fun
eral of tho preacher's father two years
ago. Madras, Ore., Pioneer.
