The fall meeting of the Preshytcry of Southern Oregon was held on Tucs day and Wednesday at the Rogue River church, attended by Presbyter ian ministers and elders from Rogue River valley, Klamath Falls and churches as fur north as ItosebuiH and Oakland. Rev. Aaron Wolfe, pastor of the Rogue River church was chosen medi ator of the Presbytery for the ensuing six months, to succeed Rev. K. W. Warrington of Roseburg, who has Just been called to Corvallis to become Y. M. C. A. secretary at the O. A. C. Rev. Ij. H. Quick, recently pastor of the Calvary Presbyterian church of Port 'land, will .succeed Rev. Warrington at Roseburg. Ho supplied the Roseburg ! church for about a year, during Mr. Warrington's absence overseas in "Y" i work during the war, and so is already ! well known to the Roseburg people. The Roseburg church and the entire Presbytery are very sorry to lose Mr. Warriugton from the work in southern Oregon, where his work has been not ably successful. Joseph W. Angell, pastor of the ! Phoenix church, was elected stated clerk and treasurer of the Presbytery j to complete the three year term ol j Rev. J. W. lloyt, who recently moved I from Ashland to Walla Walla, Wash. Rev. H. G. Hanson, pastor of the j Grants Pass church, has also recently i removed, to take charge of the Presby 'terian church at Moro,.Ore. On Tuesday evening five men from 'the Phoenix church, with their wives, ! attended the meeting at Rogue River, jwhen Rev. E. W. Warrington gave a stirring and most interesting address i on "Evangelism," and Rev. K. P. Law rence, pastor of the Medford church, spoke on the "New Km" work of the church. A number of Medford people were also present ;and several from Phoenix on Wednesday evening, when Rev. C. F. Koehler of Ashland presid ed. The Presbytery took decided action favoring disarmament, and also the admission of women to the office of deacons In the churches, but opposing a two year term for1 commissioners to the general assembly, which meets an nually, next year at Des Moines, la. This year tho meeting was at Winona Lake, Intl.. nnd was attended by nearly 11)00 delegates from all the states of the union and from foreign countries. Rev. 13. P. Lawrence nnd Dr. W. P. Holt of Medford wore nominated for such commissioners for the mooting at Dos Moines, next year. Miss Rader taught in the physical education de partment at the university for three years after her graduation and then went to Oakland, Cal., where she Is assistant head of tho physical educa tion department of tho Oakland Tech nical high school.
