One or two individuals are deriving
satisfaction In knocking the Medford
water supply with untruths circulated
outside of the city. Tho local corre
spondent of tho Portland Journal sent
a telegram to that paper last Tuesday,
saying the burning Barnum hotel was
doomed because of low water pressure,
and an Ashland paper of the same date
published a telephone message from
Medford to the same effect. Chief
Lawtpn, the firemen and most all of
the thousands who witnessed the fire
know that there was a plentiful supply
of water, which was sent with nil the
force desired through the seven hose
streams the firemen played on the
flames. The firemen are unanimous
in this declaration. ,
