Hero is a 'chance tor any employer, anywhere in the United States, to obtain a guaran teed title provided he can find space on his payroll for a genuine nobleman. ; Applying at the Knights of Colum bus American Service Bureau in Con stantinople for a job, an en-member of the Sultan's forces, claiming to he Prince Oshrah y Beni, of Abyssinia, ' thirty-one, unmarried (his harem was ' left behind in Abyssinia), says that he will make any American a Sheik who, . In his own dignified words, "can honor mo with a position in his concern that Will provide maintenance in accord with my status. " -y The prince's present status consists of three square meals per day, with the corners knockod off. Tho only recommendation that Fred-W. Milan. This startling statement was made by Professor Arthur Keith, a famous anthropologist, during a recent lec ture which ho delivered at the Royal institution. During the discussion which fol lowed the lecture several doctors de clared that they had had professional experience with children born with "vestigial" tails, and one physician stated that among tho recruits he ex amined for the army during the war no fewer than eight grown men pos sessed this peculiarity. "Huxley's verdict that mail can c'.aim no placo apart in tho animal world, but is actually a member of it In substanco and structure remains unchallenged today," said the pro fessor. "I have devoted over thirty years to examining tho problem of man's origin and have come to the conclu sion that Huxley and Darwin have exaggerated rather than underesti mated tho structural gaps which separate man from his nearest allies. "Neither Darwin nor Huxley ever said or believed that man had arisen from tho gorilla, the chimpanzee or tho orang-outang. What they did say and what all anthropologists now believe. Is that wo must esnrch for characteristics which man and the great anthropoids share to somo dis tant ancestry which Is common to both anthropoids and man. "Theso apos do not represent a se ries of evolutionary jumps, culminat ing in man, but are end-branches from a common stock." 7 Among tho stars to be seen In the Minneapolis Klks' minstrels are Wil lard, "the man who grows." Mr. Willard has for several years appear ed on the Orphuum and Welth vaude ville circuits, occupying headlino po sitions, and his act will be exactly as presented on tho large vaudeville cir cuits. What are the Important things to consider In selecting a plan for your home? There Is tho location of your build ing site, its si.e, the number of peo ple In your family, the climatic condi tions, the avallablity of suitable and appropriate materials and probably tho limits of your purse. You want a plan to fit the needs and requirements of your falmly a plan which provides modern con veniences, comfort, economic use of material, labor, plus interior and ex terior attractlvenoss in design, fin ish anil arrangement. It's poor business to take a profit on your lot and lose money on your home just because your plan is non descript nnd commonplace. He Sure of Plan You owe it to yourself to bo sure of your plan, because homo planning Is serious business a business that will net you a profit or loss, depend ing upon the businesslike way you go at it. To build from a plan that you "guess will do" is poor judgment. It may prove a waste of good dollars. "Perhaps you havo decided that tho plan you seloct must build tho homo of your dreams, in this event, if you hopo to find your "dream plan" al ready prepared, you are apt to bo dis appointed. If. however, you Btudy these p'ans with open mind and tho Idea of finding one which combines the practical and convenient feat lures to fit your needs, you are suro to discover a plan which will approx imate your Ideals and perhaps glvo you additional features and conven iences you have not counted on. Mistakes Am tWIy It's wrong to get the notion that because you want asmall home your plan doesn't deserve the same char acter and class of design supplied peo ple who spend larger sums of money for bigger houses. This lu'Hef costs thousands of homo builders thou sands of dollars. They fail to un derstand that tho experienced design er and architect, on account of his tiatuing und skill, Is tietter ablo to know how to cut costs and get maxi mum results. The whole Idea In modern home planning Is toward efficiency and la bor saving without sacrificing com fort. The tendency is to reduco the size of rooms that require steps and labor in housekeeping. Bedrooms are smaller than formerly, but with more thought toward adequate ven tilation anil sunshine. Kitchens are smaller, to save steps. The living rooms aro opened larger. up and mado FIGHT RETURNS 11 A. M.
