" Albert Rosenthal studied in Ger many: for ten years, has-a technique that can scarcely be surpassed, has played concerts With the famous Philharmonic Orchestra of Berlin, has: concerted with most of the prin cipal 1 orchestras In various parts ot Gormany, and hus made a tour ot the United States. Mr. Rosenthal has just acquired a magnificent old Ital ian 'cello. . . . 1 - Ethel Johnson has !een one of the most welcome artists of the Univer sity of California Extension concerts, for the past two seasons. She has a powerful, soprano voice and is, at the same itime, a coloraturist of no mean capacity.! She makes a specialty of singing Jenny hind's' favorite songs. i Margaret Caldwell Speer was an Ashland girl. She had. a. few lessons with Mr. Pasmore, when he first vis ited, Ashland. Since then she has studied with the best teachers in Los Angeles, and tor the past year, has been again working under Mr, Pas more's guidance.' f W will let a :few of many press notices speak for Mrs. Spoor. .! . - And now a word about. 11. B, Pas more's singing. Mr. Pasmore Is old . er. than ho used to be,;.in years, but ,. - not in voice. He says' he has put it .'T' upito his family to say 'Time to stop, Dad." But r.icy still say "Go .oii, Dad, you never sang soJwoll before;"- A short time ago "Dad" sang all .of Schubert's famous .Miller Songs at the University of California, to the delight of a thousand people and ended; with his voice perfectly fresh and "going strong." O., W. Rasmussen can sing ''High C" ; with .perfect- ease."- -He recently sang Mendelssohn n "Then Shall the Righteous Shine Forth," before a large audience al the. Greek Theatre, University of California, with great effect. ...... ..-. . Samuel Hume, ' director of the Grcok Theatre Dramatic and Musical activities,-, wrote Mr. Pasmore a per sonal letter thanking him for the' splendid program, Mr. Rasmussen be ing one of the soloists. Therese Zahmatyn was also soloist on the same occasion and the Pacific Musical Review story read, "When. Miss Zahmatyn sans thai hush came over, the audience. which oniy comes when a notable thing is being cnact '.od.' . . ' -,Vcra Matthews is a favorite singer in. club circles of San Francisco. Her. beautiful , me7.7.o contralto and win ning manner always captures her au diences, i . jDorothy Dunn Is a young girl from Eugene, which may account for, her lorcly:volce. , She has been . stpdying with Mr. Pasmore for a little more than a year. Just hear her and Bee what may be accomplished In a short time. 1 Esther 'Llndsey Is another novice with, a reputation to achieve. She is second alto, and "her voice Is low and sweet, an admirable thing in wo man." The ring ceremony which was very impressive, was used. After the cere mony there was refreshments of cake, ice cream, nuts, mints and coffee and punch. The color scheme was carried out in ice cream and cake. There were present about 150 invit ed guests. The bride and groom left Tuesday -evening for Shasta Springs and Klamath Falls and other points on their honeymoon.
