For the second time in two weeks
the majority of local readers of (he
Saturday KvenliiK Post yusterduy
found that they would have to do with
out that publication, as only one-fourth
of the usual news stand allotment of
Medford, the same as last week, ar
rived here. The trouble has been duo
to a strike of printers at tho Post's
publication headquarters, which now
ban been adjusted, although the ef
fects will bo felt for two weeks or
more.

According to a statement Issued at !
Salem this week on the teacher supply
by J. A. Churchill, slate superinten
dent of public instruction, unemploy
ment has had no visible cfrect upon
the teacher supply in Oregon. He de
clares that competent Instructors are
as scare now as they were a year ago.
Any number of Inexperienced candi
dates for teaching positions are avail
able, Churchill ndmlts, but ho insists
that there are more openings for com
petent, experienced teachers than
there are applicants, qualified to fill
such positions. Teachers' salaries will
remain much oh they were for the
pust year, Mr. Churchill says. Hn'n'
