The series of complimentary lunch eons which have been given for the business women of Medford this week by the different churches of the city ended with a rally mid dinner at the Christian church Friday evening. The dinner was served at 0 o'clock by the ilaptist ladies tinder the supervision of .Mrs. Ii. II. Hr.vant. The high school orchestra under the direction of Miss Ionise Wolff, fur nished delightful music during the with vocal Miss Kdna Stelner and Mrs. Frederick Leach. After a short talk by Mrs. Ethel livans Lewis the girls marched to the taber nacle in a body where seats had been reserved for them. During the ripening service Ht the tabernacle Miss Vera lloundtrce ex pressed the appreciation and thanks of the working women and girls to those who helped to make the luncheons and dinner possible as follows: "The young women of .Medford, the working girls und business women, who for the past week hiive been the recipients of the splendid hospitality of the ladles of the different churches and of Mrs. Lewis have requested me to express the sincere thanks of all of them. They wish, and ' I wish that there were some other way of ex pressing our gratitude besides the cold formality of stereotyped words, and we hone that all of those who did so much to create In our hearts the teal spirit of friendship and service will realize the sincerity of our apprecia tion and good-will. mean to the women of the world if .every day we practiced toward each other the gentleness and unselfishness that for the past week was offered to us.
