It does not mako much difference how a sinner goes- to hell.'. It you and Ciod are out of 'tune you are not prepared to meet Him To be saved you must know first of all that you aro lost. A preacher who does (lot make the sinner feel that he is lost is a dead failure. To succeed the church must beat the devil., There is little use . to talk to people who do not think that they are lost. To be saved you must have a desire to be saved. God has not the power to save you against your will. The latch, to the human soul is on the inside. iou must also be willing to quit your sinning. There is a world of dif ference between an erring child of God and a hypocrite. There must again be tile purpose to obey Christ. Repen tance of sin, faith in Christ, and keep ing His ordinances follow. Keeling nas no place in salvation. It Is not a matter how man feels, but what God says. When a' man complies with the conditions of salvation ha is saved whether he feels he is saved or not. Christ also demands a public confes sion. Believing with the heart goU one right with God; confession gets one right with society. Men are not converted in the same way. Out of the' 42 . reported conversions in the New Testament no two are alike. When you become a Christian there is no need of worrying about holding out. I hat Is Christ's work. I do not. say that a Christian who dances and plays cards will go to hell; it just shows how much steam, they gave out. The best way to treat such church mom bora Is creato a longing within them for heaven. During tho sermon Dr. Ilulgin paid his compliments to some of tho evolu tionists who are teachers in our high scnooi by saying that science has set tled that life is not a chemical com pound, but a most Intricate mechan ical mechanism. Where there is a mechanism there is a mechanic. When there is a contrivance there is a con triver..' Spontaneous generation of life is unknown to science. It takes a God to solve tho riddle. Tho biblu ,says creation, not evolution. Materialistic evolution is unknown to science. No scholar in exact science of today believes in evolution. It Is an exploded and out of date theory. ana only a theory. In each succeed ing scale of life the type of life of the next higher life was not evolved. It comes from above. That proves crea tion, not evolution. When mineral has dono Its best you must look above for vegetable life. When vegetable, lias done its best you mnst lank above for animal life. When animal life f.as done Its best you must look above for man. When man has done bis best It lakes a God to breathe a" sou). - The origin ot -matter, life, mind, boiiI argues a God. An evolution without an Involution Is a scientific monstros ity. Let your high school professor answer that. It cannot be done. Mind don't follow a dear, sweet Lincoln; a uear, pi-ecious- itoosevelt, or a dear, darling Foch. We need a red-blooded! ruggeri, granite, majestic Christ to master men. . i. . . Seattlo who has a tendency to play hookey onco in a while and he will tell you that he always keeps a sharp lookout for Dodge Brothers touring cars and 'road sters. - Reason this Is tho typo of car used by tho eight attendance officers ottlto Seattlo school board. . -; - More than once ono of those cars has pulled nlongsldo tho curb or glided up to tho swlmniln' hole to the great dismay of tho youngster who hud re mained out of school to attend his granmothcr's funeral. Out popped the truant officer and before Johnny could movo ho wns under cross-examination. Now the Seattlo school boavil has made it a little easier for Johnny bi giving him a reasonable chnnco I. to "duck." Tho board has ordered that cars used hy attendance officers bo plainly lettered In conformity with tho stylo ot lettering on all other cars owned by the school district. When this action wns proposed it brought forth a sharp and Insistent protest by one of the school officials. Tho objec tion was reported by a Seattlo paper as follows; 'Mr. Fleming said In IiIb communl- cation of protest that as Oodgo Broth ors cars are used exclusively by; the department,, nny Dodge Brothers car is Instantly the object or suspicion, on the part ot the juvenile population of a community. To make them more con splc.uous by lettering would be. merely adding to the troubles of an overbur. dened and tmapprcclativo public ser vant. But the protest was overruled.
