RHEUMATISM
AND TEETH
i
il recent examination of some
hundreds of rheumatic patients in
hospitals' of Chicago it was shown be
yoOd the shadow of a doubt that de
fectlTe . teeth are detrimental to
health. The constant association be
tween bsceaed - teeth and chronic
sHhrlilfl ceases to be a coincident,
whe found In from 74 to 9S per cent
of all cases examined; , It is piactl
eilly a certainly that there is a di
rect relationship between the two
conditions; between Dad teeth and
rheumatism. Can you afford to keep
diseased, abscessed teeth which are
s detrimental to your health, when
ju can have them removed without
pain by .

today, and reports considerable dam
ago to fruit in his Btate.
Medrord has two mills that grind
foed and poultry supplies only and
there nre several other -mills In the
county that grind home grown grainB
that merit your patronage.
If you smoke ask for Crater Lake
or K. B. cigars. They are made In
Medford by men who understand
their business and are first, class. The
factory is located on . North lirapc
and the cigars are on sale by all deal
era. w
There are several first class tail

the valley, making clothes for men
and women. They have the best,
goons, guarantee fit and satisfaction
In every way, employ a number of
people and deserve the patronage of
the people.

made from our own grown delicious
tomatoes by the Knight Packing com
pany, who have a plant in the whole
sale and factory district in South
Medford. The company hope to
greatly increase their product this
year with increased irrigation, which
means more tomatoes.
A. new article manufactured here

stitution In Medford, located on
South Fir street, makers of fluff rugs,
and are doing a big business. Their
plant has up-to-date machinery, ex
pert workmen and they guarantee

DAILY VALLEY PEOPLE
Medford and Rogue river valley
people are surely sweet or should be.
as It Is estimated they consume more
than a ton of candy every day, a very
small amount of which is made in
Medford and the Rogue river valley.
If this was all made at home It would
mean $20,000 or $25,000 mocr to
the valley each month, which would
eb another big revenuo.
Get in the habit of buying the
homo sweets, the yarei better and
fresher and the firms here making
candy are entitled to the support of
the people.
5000 LOAVES BREAD
!
The people of Medford and vicinity
should bo loyal to the four bakeries in
this city and especially when their
bread and other products are first
class. There are about 6000 loaves of
bread baked by the Medford bakeries
every day and it is estimated that
1500 or 2000 loaves are shipped in
dally. If the home product was used
exclusively this would add several
men to the payroll of the bakeries and
increase the amount of revenue spent
at home many thousand dollars
monthly.
This business in Medford has many
thousands of dollars invested, em
ploys 25 or 30 people and Is deserving
of the patronage of tho people.
Albert S. Rand, chief clerk of the
railway mail service In Oregon. Is here
to give the clerks of the local post
