The rain of Sunday did not fall evenly in this locality having almost entirely missed some while others ex perienced a heavy downpour. As the soil was in quite n dry state the rain was welcomed. The community was saddened Mon day on learning of the death of Mrs. M. E. Gardner al San Francisco. Mrs. Gardner left here over two months ago in company with her sister, Mrs. Shaddock, for California, to remain with her sister for the benefit of her health and remained there to her death which occurred April 7th. The deceased had many friends here who will sadly miss hir. She was a faith ful member of the Ladies' Industrial club and took an active interest in all social affairs. Mr. and Mrs. Zimmerman attended the Presbyterian services in Medford Sunday. D. C. Wilson was seeking medical aid of Dr. Mnlingron at. Phoenix Mon day. Most of the patrons of the precinct accompanied their kiddies to the cir cus at Gold Hill Saturday. The Ladies' club met Thursday with Mrs. J. R. Howe where delicious re freshments and a good time were en joyed. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. O. R. Tresham where Miss Pool will also meet and hold a preliminary tireless cooker meeting.
