NEW YORK, April 9:-Stagnant'and irregular conditions ruled in the stock " jiiiaricet"' during' today's brief Bession, , dealings falling to meager proportions, even for a week end. Foreign indus trial conditions and yesterday's local money flurry served as restraining in fluences. Several of the high class rails, notably Northern Pacific, Union Pacific, Chicago and Northwestern and New York Central were depressed one to 1V4 points and minor specialties also yielded moderately. This was off set by short covering in oils. Crucible Steel, Baldwin Locomotive and Amer ican Woolen at gains of one to two points but the movement as a whole was insignificant. The closing was steady; Sales approximated 175,000 Shares.
