Vorhies crossing, following the "ditch
beside the railroad embankment until

the culvert near the lee plant where it
again accumulated with sufficient
force to wash out the tracks.
Hoth sections of passenger train No.
54 were held at Ashland until the track
breaks were repaired and the first sec
tion did not reach Medford until long
after 8 o'clock. The Kolb & Uill com
pany was on the second section with

home between the lee plant and Vor

The south side of West Main street
as usual when it rains heavy was In a
badly flooded condition from curb to
street car track and small lakes formed
at the street intersections on tho south
side of the street, as far as Luurol
street.
Autos ran almost huh deep in n num
ber of streets of the city.
Residents of the Riverside apart
ments could only reach home In nutos
which drove through the flooded Btreet
and enabled them to jump out onto the
sidewalk. This was the case also with
muuy other people in other parts of
the city.
