The struggle for leadership In the six day bicycle race became so bitter today tlia two of the riders engaged In a fist fight. While sprinting to guln a lap on the field, Joseph Kopsky turned too sharp ly in passing Eddie Madden and when the pace slowed down Madden rode alongside of Kopsky and punched him on the jaw. Kopsky and Madden called their relief partners and went to their dressing rooms to settle the trouble. Quick interference by the other riders stopped the fight. When the riders ended the eigjity flrst hour of the race at 11 a. m. the six leading teams had covered 1384 miles two laps. Kochler and Osterrlt er were leading in points with 52 and Madden and Magln were second with forty-two. HUE HOPPE DECLINES 10 MEET HOUREMANS ST. I.OUIS, Jnn. 20.
