"You're the Man to be SaJisSied" says the Good Judge You get a whole lot more satis faction from a little of the Real Tobacco Chew than you ever ot from the old kind. The good, rich tobacco taste lasts so much longer. You don't need a fresh chew so often. That's why it costs you less. Any man who uses the Real To bacco Chew will tell you that. Put Up In Two Styles RIGHT CUT is a short-cut tobacco ' W-B CUT is u long fine-cut totxicco mm A small army of swarthy sons of toil, fifteen or twenty, more or less, members of Phoenix Presbyterian church and congregation, gathered yesterday in the cosmopolite environs along the highway to render, in true classic style, their services for the beau tifirat ion of the manse. This aggregation of toilers also have tho distinction of being members of the "angelic" host and therefore perfect harmony at all times prevails and walkouts are the remotest from any consideration. The women too were on hand, in characteristic attendance cheering their spouses at every stroke of the hummer, every moan of the saw, every swish of the brush, and at noontime set before the faithful workers a table laden wifh all the appetizing viands for which they have made themselves famous. Window screens were made, doors renting, walls and ceilings calcimiued, floors washed, so that by supper time the general appearance was one of ecsta tic beauty and sublime grandeur. M. J. Xorris a general manager and M. K. Sheets as superintendent of con struction kept the men in alignment, and every move made by each in dividual was In synchrony with every other move find the work accomplish ed was therefore done in an incred ibly short space of time. This did not complete the day. For the evening was planned a stereoptl con lecture on the Philippines the people and their customs by Rev Paul Doltz, who since 1902 has been pastor of the Silliman Student church an organization which works among the women and girls. Rev. and Mrs Doltz arc doing a splendid work there and some of the fruits of their labors were strikingly depicted on tho screen Perhaps the one phase of the lecture which drew out the greatest interest was that hearing on the educational system in the islands. Since the Unit ed States came Into possession of the archipelago wonderful changes have heen wrought along this line. Many school buildings of a modern type of architecture and construction have been erected, grammar, high and nor mal schools, and the graduates of these schools typify the high plane on which the educational system has been founded and is now being con ducted. Tho native Filipinos arc so thoroiy trained, that ai'tur going thru tho complete course they are as well fittetl to teach tho rising generation as tho graduates from any of the nor. ma! schools in our own midst. It is not often that tho opportunity presents Userf to learn at first hand what is being accomplished in our Insular po.-vsessions, and other infor mation does not have the desired ef fect of impressing forcefully the real work being accomplished. To hear and meet a man like Mr. Doltz be comes a part of one's education. He has been in this country about three weeks only since his return and if ho takes the full furlough usually ac corded missionaries and those engag ed in work under the direction of the hoards of our churches, those who may bo given (ho chance to hear him during the remaining forty-nine weeks will do well to avail them selves of the occasion.
