FLORIDA VOTES
IT BY 3.
CHICAGO, June 1. llonrinsrs ou
the cluims of contesting deleirutions
to next week's convention continued
toil.it v to occupy the attention of the
republican, mitionnl committee.
A decision in the three-cornered
fight n Florida wits first on the t;ro
gram and next came the throc-cornev-
ed contest from the District of Co
Him Inn. A special sub-committee coui-
poHcd of . Committeemen Warren, of
Jlichitran, Dul'ont of Delaware, and
Parsons of New York spent most uf
the night examining the law and the
facts in the Florida case and pre
pared a report on the claims of the
contestants and possibly a recom
mendation for a course of action by
the committee.
The Florida case, in which the
committee was palled upon to decide
whether there was, in k'tral effe-:t,
any republican party in Florida,
promised in a sense .to show the first
indications ot the candidacies of
Major General Leonard Wood. Gov
ernor Frank 0. Lowden and Senator
Hiram ohnsnn. 4
None of the three contesting' dele
tions is pledged, but the various
members sav that: the first or rei;i:
Jarty reported delegation headed by
National Committeeman ISean of
Tampa is favorable to General Wood;
Hint the second delegation headed bv
H. L. Anderson of Jacksonville is
favorable to Senator Johnson and
that the .third, headed bv A. I,.
Church of Jacksonville, is favorable
lo the eundi'dacy of Governor Low
den. When the evidence was nil in last,
niiilit, many of the committeemen
said that all three (leleuationstsceir.c.l
to be "defunct," lint announced that
they would depend. upon the sub-committee
headed by Committeeman War
ren, who is acting as a legal adviser
to the .committee in the contests, :o
point a way out of the muddle.

in a rural district became famous and
was called in consultation in ninny
towns and cities because of bis suc

was Dr. Pierce who afterward moved
to Buffalo, N. Y. He made up his
mind to place some of his medicines
before the public, and lie put up
what bo called bis "Favorite Pre

druggists in every, state in the Union.
For fitly years Dr. Pierce's Favorite

throughout the United States than
any other medicine of like character.
Jt's the testimony of thousands of
women that it has benefited or en

now sold by druggists in tablet form
as well as liquid.

tried so many things for woman's
trouble without getting any help, - I
decided to try Dr. Pierce's Favorite
