Tho recommendation which was bo licved of immediate importance was that of the educational enmpaien for the fivo hundred thousand dollar county road bond issue, the state four per cent road bond limitation act and the hieher educational bill, presi dent Walther was authorized, to ap point a committee o threo to tnki chariro of the management of this campaign nnd in conference with the committee on committees, the lollow ine members were selected: . linwlc: Moore, chairman: Frank I'.'Fnrrcll and Seelev V. Hall. This committee is empowered to call upon the mem bership of the Chamber of Commerce for assistants in their speaker s bp reau as well as for those who will con duct the newspaper nnd literature department of this work, lit is anti cipated that about twenty-five mem hers will bo drafted for this campaign and ns the time between now nml the election is short, immediate response will be required of all. Improve Camp Grounds The .board considered it vcrv im portant that something be done im mediately in co-operution with the committed from the !Greater Jfed- ford club for tho improvement of the temporary automobile camp ground For this purposo they adopted tlic recommendation of the lonim ana under the usual procedure' appointed the following committee for this our-" pose: K. C. Gaddis, chairman; h. ., Ends, J. A. Bcdingfield and Mis; Anne Keliehor. It will also he tho duty of the automobile camp ground committee to investigate ami report a plan for per manent grounds, how thov could be obtained, what would bo necessary in the construction of building, whin would be needed in the line of trees and shrubs for the bcautification of the grounds and if possible get infor mation as to what success other com munitics have had in the building o grounds of this character. At tho forum next Wednesday, C. F. Gates will lead the discussion as to whnt n modern enmp ground should consist of and as Mr. Gates has mad this subject un object of considerable study, his ideas will be most valuable to the committee as well as to Hi entire membership of the chamber. Itoad to Dead Indian The recommendation of the forum relative to obtaining information as to the possibility of building a road to the Dead Indian Soda Springs va referred to a committee, whose ap pointment was authorized by the board and consists of the followin; if. Thii committee is to report upon the fcusu bility ot building a road to the springs, what iho-cost of same woul be, how the same could be financed and in fact every phnso of tho nues tion, which ultimately would brin; about a road to the springs. Every effort is to be nmde by all of tho committees of the Chamber o Commerce to present reports of worli able plans to bring about tho desired results. This means the devotion n a great deal of time und effort on the part of the committees and upon thei work alone depends the success of the C hanibcr of Commerce as beim factor in the community.. J MEDFORD HOTEL Arrangements are completed where by a number of dishes to bo serve at the Chamber of Commerce Junch eon tomorrow will be cooked in milk und'milk will be the basis of some o: the foods to be served. Tho luncheon will be held ut the Medford Hotel at noon and every effort is being mode to have it well attended. Tho Greater Medford club and tho Parent Teacher's association will be repro sented by a number of ladies ut the luncheon. The campaign for greater consumption of milk for the Med ford children is i progressing wit Honrtertul success and, the same should have the hearty endorsement of the men of the community. The members of the Chamber of Com mcrce can show their appreciation b attending the luncheon on Suturdu noon. Adjournment will be take promptly at 1 :15. Thanks to the generosity ot J. T Gagnon the pupils and sisters of St. Mary's Academy enjoyed a picnic and outing in the Jackson creek canyon above the Gagnon saw mill yesterday afternoon. Mr. Gagnon for this occa sion resurrected the Medford-Jack sonville street car line and conveyed his guests to and from the picnic grounds In the large street car. Edgar Mafer and William V.
