LOCAL ACTIVITY IN REAL ESTATE Bacauae of the fast selling and ckanglng of hands of real estate In Med ford for some time past there have been strange mix-ups. Every bouse sold means two or three or more removals and as many families discommoded. Here Is one of the latest romoval cycles of interest, M. A. Predonburg traded his dwel ling at West Tenth and South New town streets for J. A. Moffat's dwel ling and grocery building on West Jackson street. This put It up to W. L. Lewis who with his family had been living in the Fredcnburg house to find a new home, and after look ing around for a while without suc cess for another boupe to rent, he purchased a home on Wont Jackson street from the Modford Realty com pany In which Mr. and Mrs. Winfleld Bailey reside. The Bailey's disliking to rent an other house for fear that It might also bo sold ovor their hoadB, wont two doors away on West Jackson and bought from tbo Modford Realty oompany the home in which Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Jeroino roside. Now all the families aro happy ox- cept Mr. and Mrs. Joromo, who aro looking for anotlior placo to rent or buy, .And aro doubly embarrassed be cause Mrs. Jerome, who Is a mombor of the high school faculty, has number of good teaching offors under consideration, ono or two of which aro not tar from Modford. NOne of the famlllos mentioned above can move Into tholr newly pur chased homes until the JeromeH make tbo first more. CONVINCED OF DEFEAT.
