The new ( 'hanilier of ( 'omnierce, will conserve this spirit and utilize it. And with this conservation, the util ization of every material resource which the community Iris, will be proportionately increased. In other words Medford has within a radius of fifty miles -i truly remarkable variety of natural resources, hut its .nTcalcst resource is its civic, spirit,, and Ihc de velopment of these natural resources depends primarily upon Ihc oranizal ion and effective application of this spirit. This is the new organization's fiuiction. Ol' course, everything these days costs money. Sonic people are inclined to believe this reorganization eosls too much money. As a matter of fact, the money involved will comprise the best financial investment Medford can make, if the goal the Chamber of Commerce has set for itself is reached, and this goal wll be reached if the people of 'Med ford rise to 1 licit' opportunity now as Ihey have in the past. Medford has nevi'r been in a better condition, from a "business standpoint. The future never looked more prom ising. .The wind and air boosters have gone, the boosters remaining are individual citizens, who have tljeir feet on the ground, and realize that prosperity must come not by loud talk, but hard work. This new Chamber of Commerce means hard work it means team play, it moans having tit every hour, of every day an effective force, organized and mobilized for action, ready to put over the top. any and every movement, which, passes the acid test of being i'or the betterment of the com munity as a whole. Every citizen should aid in this work, for every citizen will he benefitted. No business in this coniniunitv can prosper without passing the od prosperity m one direction, must stimulate prosperity in otners. The economic welfare? of every community is interwoven inextricably with the economic welfare of the individuals composing it. fcvt let everyone get behind this drive and give all thev ((in afford to give in money, organization is representative but this is ,-in enterprise, in and toward the success of tribiflo.
