Wednesday afternoon, after I had finished writing my letter to The iUedford Wail Tribune, I took a stroll around town to see if there was any thing of Interest to be seen, and I scon found" ton of our enterprising citizens of the tewn and community engaged either in pitching horse shoes (quoits) or else enjoying the sport looking on, and soon our painter and paper-hanger, Sam Courtney, drove up, but didn't tarry long, but procured some gasoline for bis ma chine and went on his way looking arter business. In the course of the afternoon Mr. John Dixon of Trail came into the Sunnyslde to spend the night, remark ing that he expected to remain until Friday, as ho wantod to go up on tho Adamson stago, and that, stage docs not go only three trips a week. Later on Mr. II. T. Galey of Ashland, a traveling Insurance . agent, came in for tho night and about the same time Mr. S. W. Tracy a traveling salesman, for the Hall llrand Hub bors, camo in and speut the night with us. Mrs. A. II. Ilazelton has gono over into California to visit her two daughters, ono at llornbrook and the other at Chico. She took her son. Jlbbbie, with her, expecting to remain for an indefinite period, as her hus band Is engaged teaching near Rancherio Prairie. Mrs. Walter Myers camo In Thurs day morning bringing in her cream and eggs. . She said that she was hatching out chickens and that Mr. Myers stayed at home to plow and look after tho incubator while she came to town. She Is the lady men tioned in a former letter as having bought a number of turkeys at Tal ent for breeding purposes. They ex pect to be in the poultry business quite extensively this season. There has been another change in real estate in our little town. Mr. W. P. In the hum of tx-nversation, ho mentioned the fact (hat he ex pected to giXQ a tUerioptie exhibition entertainment in the church here on the evening of the. 22nd of this month. There will be about ninety different slides portraying scenes over tho seas. The exhibition will be free, but at the close there will be an offering for the benefit of the destitute Armenians. Thursday evening there was a meeting here at the Opera House .in the interest of the Kami JJureau ami .Miss Klorence Pool, the home demonstration agent, came out in the forenoon to make the necessary ar rangements for holding the meeting. There was not near the number in attendenco that would have been, had tho roads been po that people could have come in their cars, but the hor rible reads kept a number away, for in talking to the farmers who came in to dispose of their cream and eggs, and they all expressed a strong de sire to attend, but could not on ac count of the bad roads, not so muddy but so rough, and by the timo-they milk their cows, it makes it too late to drive with a team into town after dark. Rut there was quite a number who could and did attend aud Mr. Gate, our county pathologist gave us a talk setting forth the object of tho organization and told of what they had done to help the farmers, by forcing the middle man to sell at a more reasonable price, and the bu reau furnishing the farmers with the necessaries of farm life, such a sul phor and other fertilizers as well as feed, as many of them have to buy at greatly reduced prices. There are quite a number in this neighborhood who have expressed a desire to SALTS S FINE FOR KIDNEYS. QUIT MEAT Flush the Kidneys at once when Back hurts or Bladder bothers Meat forma uric acid. Mo man or woman who eat meat roffU inrly enn niaku a niist-aJto by flushing the kidners occasionally, nays a well known outhority. Nearly all rhcuma ,iEm, headaches, liver trouble, norvoua lora, constipation, dizainess, slBeplessneaa, bladder disorders come from sluggish kid neys. The moment you feel a dull ache in the kidneys or your back hurts, or if tho urine is r.loudy, offensive, full of sedi ment, irregular of passage or attended by a sensation of scalding, get about four ounces of Jad Salts from any reliable pharmacy and take a tablospoonful in a glass of water before breakfast for a few daya and your kidneys will then act fine. This famous salts is mode from the acid of grapes and lemon juice, com bined with lithJa and haB been used for generations to flush clogged kidney and stimulate them to activity also to neu tralize the ncido in urine so it no longer canses irritation, thus ending bladder dis order a. Jad Baits is inexpensive and can not injure; makes a delightful effer vescent lithia-watcr drink which all reg ular meat eaters should take now and then to kcop the kidneys clean and the blood pure, thoreby avoiding aerioua kid ncv complications.
