Vawter, recently ap pointed by Governor Olcott a mem ber of the board of rogonts of the University of Oregon, is probably the youngest man that has served on the board, being 28 years of age. Mr. Vawter's connections with the .uni versity have been extensive. He him self graduated from that institution in the class of 1913. His father graduated In 1SSG. Three ot his uncles are also graduates of the in stitution J. F. Hill, a graduate in 1880: C. M. Hill in 1881, and George W. Hill in 1884.
