The department was called on Monday to extinguish four fires of this nature, nearly every one of -which was close o houses or other buildings. No damage was done. Mr. Hall's duties will consist of handling all telegrams and letters, meeting the tourists at trains and hotels, and : arranging tours either by private autosor regu lar auto stage. Mr,,, Hull has arranged six differ- ent.sets of tours for the Crater Lake travel, this season. These tours arc from, two to five days duration, each onolfferent and attractive. Mr. Hall is so well acquainted with the scenic attractions on Crater Lake tours that the eastern booking firms had him arrango their itineraries. The Toad is now open up over tho mountain, and autos can get within one mile of Crater Lake. By July 1st autos can get to Craler.. Lake hotel. Indications are that there will be a big travel to Crater Lake tills season. Last night's concert In tho high school auditorium lomH the musical programs at tho high schvol for this year. When listening to these boys Pi would think, if you did not seo tneiu that they wero mitt tiro men, when In fact .many of them nro Btnull boys from tho grado schools. Their forto passages wero played with, precision and a big full round tono, not brassy us tho usual band plays. In their pinna passages they played a very sympathetic tuna. Tho overtures 'played showed consistent study and enroful Interpretation. We deslro to make special mention of tho playing of Mr. lrvino Torrlll who played "Bohemian Girl" as a baritone solo. This was extremely vo!l done. Mr.vEvorett Bray ton sang "1 Would Find You, Dear" In a very finished niiuincr.. Mr. Bruyton Is tho posses sor of a very flno tenor voice, and Modford high school should ho' proud that thoy havo such a talented young man among their students.
