' Dudley Estes of Talent who has
been In bed for the past seven years
suffering with tuberculosis of the left
hip joint and who had been at the
Medford sanitarium since last Jan
uary was taken today to his home
where -he will be bedridden' for a
year yet with his leg in splints. When
be was 16 years old he jumped on a
passing freight train and was kicked
off by a brakeman. Shortly after
wards the tubercular trouble devel
oped. He is about 23 years old.

noon by Mrs. Corning Kenly from
Chicago conveyed the sad news of the
sudden death of her father, Iajor
Granger Farwell. Mr. Farwell was a
Chicago banker and during the war
served in the quartermaster's depart
ment with the rank of major. Mrs:
Kenley will leave this evening for
Chicago.

The taking of. financially embar
rassed boys to tho circus, has been a
hobby with Mr. 'Brown, tor 20 years,
and is due to the fact that Mr. Brown
never saw' a circus till he was old
enough to vote, tho they often passed
his Missouri homo. The disappoint
ment was so keen that Mr. Brown
vowed If he ever was able he would
take all the kids situated like he was
and for years no. circus has come to
his town without keeping tho vow.
